Kristen Stewart reportedly 'crashed' her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson's 37th birthday party this year for an impromptu Twilight reunion.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, 68, revealed how both she and Stewart, 33, showed up to the actor's bash uninvited, back in May.

'I went to Rob's birthday party recently. I kind of crashed with my friend Toni Collette, who had just done a movie with him,' she shared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.

'We had a fun thing, and then Kristen crashed it too. That was just a few months ago, and it was just like, "Oh my God!" We all hugged each other, like, this is so crazy and cool,' she revealed.

Stewart and Pattinson — who is currently expecting his first child with girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, 31 — dated 11 years ago, after sparking up a romance in the vampire films, the first of which was directed by Hardwicke.

Hardwicke went on: 'When Kristen walked into Rob's birthday, she's like, "Catherine? Rob's birthday? What's going on?" I go, "I kind of crashed it with Toni." And she goes, "Well, I crashed it too."'

While on the Twilight-themed podcast, Hardwicke also discussed Pattinson and Stewart's auditions for the film, sharing that their chemistry was 'instant.'

'I could tell when they were doing the chemistry read, the biology scene, at my kitchen table. I saw the sparks were flying so much,' she stated.

The duo's chemistry did not come as a surprise to her.

'It totally makes sense because they're both, like, so indie — indie music, indie authors, writers, films.They had all that stuff together,' she shared. 

Rob and Kristen met when she was only 18 after she landed the role of Bella Swan who fell in love with his character Edward Cullen. 

Their on-screen enchantment spawned a real romance between the pair, followed by a nearly four-year relationship that the actress later on referred to as 'young and stupid.'

The pair would go on to date from 2009 to 2012 before they split.

Meanwhile Robert is awaiting his first child with singer and actress Suki. 

Suki confirmed the happy news on Sunday, during a music festival in Mexico, after first sparking rumors that she was expecting earlier this month.

The beauty gestured to her baby bump and made a sweet quip at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City in a TikTok clip shared by user @bestsukiw.

However, after loud cheering from the crowd began to die down, she then teased, 'I'm not sure if it's working.'

Earlier this year in February, the actress opened up about her romance with The Batman actor while talking to The Sunday Times.

She explained to the outlet that the pair try not to spend too much time apart. 'I had two days off the other day, and it was like, no question I'm going back to see him. Then he'll come out for a couple of days.'

The beauty then gushed, 'I'm shocked that I'm so happy with someone for nearly five years.'
